Dr. Linda Zheng is a laser refractive eye surgeon and ophthalmic surgeon who provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric ophthalmology patients.

She earned her medical and surgical degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales and subsequently completed a Masters of Medicine at the University of Sydney.

After her general medical and surgical training at Concord Hospital, Dr. Zheng undertook seven years of specialized ophthalmic surgical training in various hospitals across NSW. Her focus was on multifocal cataract surgery and keyhole strabismus surgery.

She further pursued advanced subspecialty training in ophthalmic pediatric surgery and laser refractive eye surgery, including extensive training at the Fudan University Eye and ENT Hospital in Shanghai. This institution is the leading referral center for laser refractive eye surgery in China, performing over one million procedures annually. Dr. Zheng has integrated these advanced techniques and technologies, which address the highest rates of myopia and presbyopia globally, into her practice in Sydney to benefit her patients.

Eye Exams

Dr Zheng offers comprehensive eye examinations and specialises in treating cataracts (using refractive multifocal and extended depth of focus lenses), glaucoma (SLT laser, MIGS - iStent and Hydrus), pterygium, strabismus, eyelid lesions and macula degeneration (anti-VEGF injections).

Dr Zheng also specialises in childhood myopia management and refractive laser surgery.

Vision Correction

Dr Zheng offers the latest in refractive laser eye surgery (SMILE PRO, PRESBYOND, LASIK, PRK) and ICL (implantable collamer lens) surgery. Dr Zheng is the first surgeon in Australia to complete a refractive laser fellowship at the largest refractive training centre in China (EENT Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai).

Teaching and Research

Dr Zheng is a lecturer and affiliated with both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. Dr Zheng regularly supervises medical students and junior medical officers at her public hospital appointments (Sydney Eye Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and St George Hospital)
